BioI decided this bio section was badly in need of a make-over, but I don't know what to say. You can't define who someone is by a little "about me" blurb. Sure, you can make assumptions based on what I say and based on my interests, but you won't really know for sure unless you truly know me. I guess I could take a stab at this bio thing, though, instead of rambling...
I tend to be very animated and conversational in small groups, but in larger groups, I prefer to listen.
I grew up Christian, but only in recent years have I begun to have a relationship with Jesus Christ. I try to live the life I've been called to live, but that's not to say it's easy. I'll leave this portion of my bio with one of my favorite verses: Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul. - Psalm 143:8
I read a lot. I have a bad habit of walking into a bookstore with plans to look and not buy and then walking out an hour later with 5 new books. I've banned myself from bookstores...we'll see how long that lasts.
I'm very passionate about my photography and hope I will do that for a living one day. I'm working on it now, but it's just one day at a time.
I love children. I love kids' movies. Heck, I even like some kids' songs. (Have you ever HEARD some of those Veggie Tales songs?! they're the bomb...dot com. Ok, I couldn't help myself.) Along these same lines, I love Disney. LOVE. Sadly, most of the stuff they've released in recent years is nowhere as good as movies like Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, etc. Cars wasn't too shabby, though.
Speaking of things I love, I love music and I love to dance. I play four instruments...well, I'm currently learning the fourth. As for dancing, I've done so for over a decade. I've done ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, modern, funk, kick...pretty much everything. Most recently, I've picked up ballroom dancing and am loving it. I frequent country western dance halls often these days -- anything to show of my boots. I kid...sort of.
Ok, now you can see that I DO, in fact, talk quite a bit.
I'll close with this:
I'm very eclectic in my tastes and I can't pinpoint the reasoning behind why I like most things. I am typically very random and people either catch on or they think I'm weird. If you catch on, you're lucky, I'll think you're smart.
I absolutely despise the impersonal nature of communication through the internet and even via the phone. Yes, I'm guilty of holding hour-long IM conversations, but they are not my favorite thing ever. (My favorite thing ever may or may not be striped leg warmers, who knows.)
